New Shanghai Circus
The New Shanghai Circus of the People's Republic of China returns for performances this weekend at Hawaii Theatre. Chinese acrobats
at Hawaii TheatreThe troupe features stars of the Shanghai Acrobatic Theatre, performers within the Chinese tradition of acrobatic circus. The acts include plate spinners, dragon dancers, aerial ballet performers, ladder balancer, table skaters and bicyclists.
Shows are at 8 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets, $20 to $45, are available at the theater box office or may be charged by calling 528-0506. A $5 discount is available to senior citizens, students, military personnel and members of Hawaii Theatre Center. Half-price "rush tickets" will be available to youth, students and senior citizens the days of the performances at the box office.
