Interesting facts -- Rice: The Owls return 12 lettermen, including four starters and five pitchers from their 2000 WAC title team. They opened the year with eight straight wins. The Owls have won six of their last seven and are coming off a three-game sweep of Hawaii-Hilo. All of their WAC victories have come against the Vulcans, including a three-game sweep in Houston last month. Hawaii: The Rainbows have lost their last seven games, including six straight on the road. Their last win came on Feb. 16 at home against Nevada, 10-9. Out of Chad Boudon's 20 hits, eight have gone for extra bases, with four homers and four doubles. Boudon is also 7 of 11 in stolen bases. Patrick Scalabrini is 7 of 7 in steals. Boudon, Scalabrini, Tim Montgomery and Gregg Omori have started all 18 games this season.
