Star-BulletinLee, a 5-foot-11 senior forward for the University of Hawaii women's basketball team, was an All-WAC first team selection.
"I was surprised. You never bank on something like that," Lee said. "I'm definitely happy. Going to the NCAA Tournament would make me happier. That would be a team accomplishment."
Galloway, a 6-0 forward, was an All-Defensive Team pick and on the All-WAC second team.
Atuaia, the 5-10 guard from Kahuku High School, was named WAC Freshman of the Year.
"I never expected it because there were a lot of good freshmen this year," Atuaia said.
Gabrielova and Atuaia were named to the All-Newcomer Team.
D-dra Rucker, a senior at Southern Methodist, was named Player of the Year. Texas Christian's Jeff Mittie was Coach of the Year.
Lee leads Hawaii and is seventh in the conference in scoring with a 16.5 average. She pulls down 5.7 rebounds per game and is second on the team with 24 steals.
Galloway averages 15 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. In the nonconference season, when opponents didn't know her that well, she scored more, but WAC foes double-teamed her constantly.
Her answer was to play tough defense and pass to open teammates more, which is reflected in her 75 assists.
Galloway is second in the WAC in free throw percentage (.845) and fourth in field goal percentage (.481).
Atuaia averages 7.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game playing both guard positions.
Gabrielova, won the starting point guard position by adjusting to the UH system quickly. She averages 8.5 points per game and leads the Wahine in assists (109) and steals (41).
