NBC news anchor Tom Brokaw is in town to complete the Pearl Harbor filming of part of a two-hour National Geographic television documentary.

This is the fourth Oahu visit for the "Pearl Harbor: Legacy of Attack" production since filming began in July. Brokaw, who narrates the documentary, is here today to film commentary to be used prior to and just after commercials.

"Pearl Harbor: Legacy of Attack" will air May 27 concurrently on NBC and the National Geographic Channel which was launched in January.

About half the documentary comprises archival footage with the remaining current filming and "contemporary stories," a National Geographic spokesperson said. "Pearl Harbor: Legacy of Attack" will be told in three stories:

Bullet Footage of the USS Arizona includes underwater photography of the ship, a discussion on oil leaking from the vessel and what can be done about it.

Bullet Explorer Robert Ballard, who found the Titanic, searches for the miniature Japanese submarine sunk just outside the Pearl Harbor entrance during the attack and circumstances surrounding it.

Bullet Interviews with 10 Pearl Harbor attack survivors;

Meanwhile, in Waikiki, the Royal Hawaiian Hotel recently played host to the popular Sydney, Australia-based television show, "Music Country," starring Holly Brisley and Stuart Spence.

"Music Country," part of the Global Television Network's Pacific Rim Division, is broadcast throughout the Pacific basin and Asia from Japan to New Zealand. The program is not shown in Hawaii.
