UH softball loses twice

Yasmin Mossadeghi's three-run homer and the one-hit pitching of Gina Oaks lifted No. 14 Cal State Fullerton to a 3-0 victory over the Wahine after Auburn edged UH, 3-2.

Previously unbeaten freshman Felicity Witt was the victim of Mossadeghi's seventh homer of the season and second of the day. The Titans' slugger had homered earlier in a 16-0 rout of Centenary.

The Wahine also were hurt by the long ball in their loss to Auburn. Jen Kramer sent the Tigers ahead to stay with a two-run homer off Desiree Duran in the first inning.

In other games, Auburn shaded UC Santa Barbara, 3-2, and UCSB beat Centenary, 9-1.
