Thinkin’ ’bout Lincoln

Ewa Elementary goes all out for Abe

The school was celebrating its 57th annual Lincoln Day program,
this year with the theme "What a Wonderful World."
The Royal Hawaiian Band also participated in the program.

Joette Verdadero had her hands full today at Ewa Elementary School.
She was videotaping daughter Ziarie, 7, who was performing, while
holding daughter Tyler, 10 months.




Trying It Out

Elton Bacon, orthotics manager at Shriners Hospital for Children,
shows Theresa Tanner some special attachments she can use with
her prosthetic arm to perform various activities. Tanner, a freshman
at Sacred Hearts, was honored with a surprise party yesterday for
being the hospital's 20,000th patient.
