Costas Theocharidis, Hawaii's leading attacker, was suffering from a stomach ailment today and was doubtful for Hawaii's match with UC San Diego (1-7 overall, 0-6 MPSF) ) at RIMAC Arena this afternoon.

"He was throwing up last night and didn't get much sleep," said Hawaii head coach Mike Wilton, who was letting Theocharidis sleep in this morning.

"We hope it's not a flareup of the collitis he had last year."

Theocharidis is averaging 4.21 kills per game and hitting .409.

But the illness of his All-American sophomore is not Wilton's only worry.

Freshman Kimo Tuyay, who has started at setter for each of the University of Hawaii's 35 games this season, was listed as questionable for the match.

Wilton said Tuyay, averaging 13.23 assists per game, has flu-like symptoms. He said he allowed him to leave the team hotel to spend the night with his parents at their San Diego home.

Wilton said that Tuyay looked a little better this morning but he would wait until warmups to decide if he'll play.

If not, lefty sophomore Kyle Denitz, who's been in 10 games, will start at setter.

The No. 7 Warriors (8-2, 4-1) move on to play at No. 3 Long Beach State (6-1, 5-1) on Thursday.
