The best, most entertaining tackle of yesterday's Pro Bowl at Aloha Stadium was not delivered by Ray Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens or Junior Seau of the San Diego Chargers. Biggest hit didnt
come from a playerBy Dave Reardon
Star-BulletinIt was applied by Dan Meers of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Haven't heard of him? Probably because he's the team mascot.
In the third quarter, a presumably beer-goggled spectator ran on to the field and eluded security for about two minutes. He was finally taken down by Meers, who is not slowed much by his "KC Wolf" costume.

Halftime Quicktime VR panorama"It looked like security needed a little help," Meers said. "That's great. My first Pro Bowl and I got my first tackle."
The intruder was eventually escorted from the field by police.
Tampa Bay defensive tackle Warren Sapp said Meers graded out well for technique.
"That's an 'A'," Sapp said.
Buccaneer mascot Mike Mashke said he's sacked a few out-of-place fans in his time, too."I've done that in the past, but it's been a few years," Mashke said. "Dan's a pretty good tackler. He practiced on me earlier today."
Unfortunately, Meers' tackle wasn't much of a deterrent, as three other fans found their way onto the field and had to be chased down and subdued (by security, not mascots).
"It looked like they wanted to come out here and play," Tennessee defensive end Jevon Kearse said. "Maybe they weren't satisfied with the way we were playing."
