Queen’s Ball
was a regal affair

The Queen's Ball, at Iolani Palace last Saturday to celebrate the reign of Queen Liliuokalani, was a grand affair, truly fit for a queen. So long to brother El

Elliott Wood, 78, died of cancer Sunday. He joined Honolulu Rapid Transit after graduating from Roosevelt High in 1940 and retired as an officer with MTL. His 46 years with the bus firms was interrupted by Army service in World War II. He was a good husband to the former Cissie Lum, a good father to Kaina Awaa, and Emory, Mamo and Mary Lou Wood, and a good brother to me. We will miss him. Services will be at Borthwick's at 11:45 a.m. on Feb. 12. Friends are invited to come beforehand and shoot the breeze ...
