SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO THIS WEEK

Bullet Kalaheo and Farrington combined for nearly 200 points in a basketball shootout, as the Mustangs beat the Governors, 106-92.

"It was like watching a pro game," said Farrington head coach Harry Pacarro, who was famous for platooning two units of five players.

Kalaheo forward Roy Silva led all scorers with 34 points. Point guard Peter Ranta added 25. Farrington's top scorer, Leo Leopoldo, tallied 21 points.

The Mustangs shot almost 65 percent (37-for-57) from the field and made 32 of 45 free throw attempts.
