Time for another
HPR record sale

Hawaii Public Radio will hold its fund-raising "Almost New Record Sale" Feb. 2, 3 and 4 in Ward Warehouse's Kewalo and Kaka'ako rooms on the second floor.

Thousands of LPs, hundreds of complete operas and extensive collections of Hawaiian, jazz, and other musical categories will be offered for sale.

HPR members will get first pick from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 2. The sale opens to the general public from 6 to 9 p.m. later that day. On Feb. 3 and 4 the sale will be open to everyone from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The $3 donation at the door includes one free LP or two free cassettes.

An assortment of slightly used electronic and stereo equipment will also be available, as well as CDs and some videos.

Blues and rock musician Eric Peterson will perform on opening night from 5 to 7 p.m.

Bullet Career Fair: A variety of exhibits, demonstrations, career services and free information on career and technical education programs will be featured from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Feb. 17 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 18 at Pearlridge Center, Uptown. Call 956-7461 for details.

Bullet Prepping for SATs: Iolani School teachers will offer a prep course for the SAT I test at Baldwin High School on Maui. The classes will be from 8 a.m. to noon March 26-March 30 with a practice test from 12:45 to 3:45 p.m. March 26. The course costs $175 and includes a textbook, handouts and the practice session. To register for the course, students should meet with their college counselors, call Michael Higashi at Iolani School at 943-2232 or email mhigashi@iolani.honolulu.hi.us.
