Starr Seigle Communications, Honolulu-based parent of a group of advertising, public relations and related businesses, has formed a new division to buy print advertising space and broadcast commercial time nationally and in the Hawaii market.

The company said its new StarrMedia division will be able to use the clout of its big clients to negotiate favorable rates for all clients.

Current clients include Hawaiian Airlines, Hilton Hotels in Hawaii, Kraft Foods, Longs Drugs, Nissan and others.

StarrMedia is headed by Chuck Cohen, senior vice president and executive media director, who has served as media director in Hawaii for three other advertising agencies.

Starr Seigle Communications, which says it has annual billings of more than $55 million, is the parent of Starr Seigle Advertising, QMark Research & Polling, StarrTech Interactive and StarrPR Public Relations.

It has offices in Honolulu, Las Vegas and Guam.
