James K. Ayano, 67, of Waipahu, a retired electrician at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, died Jan. 11 in Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Chihoyo and sisters Itsuyo Yamamoto and May M. Yota. Private services.

Marjorie B. Coffin, 93, who worked for Sansum Clinic in Santa Barbara, Calif., died June 30 in Santa Barbara. She was born in Marshall County, Indiana. She is survived by stepdaughters Sheila C. Bills and Lynne C. Shenck. Services held. Burial: Diamond Head Memorial Park. Inurnment services: 10:30 a.m. Jan. 27 at Diamond Head Memorial Park.

Asao Doi, 97, of Honolulu, a retired geneticist with Hawaiian Sugar Planters Association, died last Friday in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Shizuka; son William; daughters Amy Hayashida and Jessie Doi-Cunha; brother Tsuneo; sisters Tatsuyo Honma, Michiyo Kitajima and Midori Kawamoto, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Private services.

John T. Duarte, 93, of Honolulu, who retired from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, died Jan. 6 in Hale Nani Health Center. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by brothers Louis, Frank and Richard. Private services.

Bob Lee Galloway, 71, of Honolulu was also the owner of Nature's Sunshine Products. Burial: 1 p.m. Monday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. The additional information for an obituary published yesterday was provided by the mortuary.

Tsuruko Higa, 85, of Honolulu is survived by brother Kamazen Shimabuku. The mortuary provided the additional information for an obituary published Tuesday.

William "Scruni" Kahau Jr., 68, of Honolulu died Monday. He is survived by wife Eldora; sons Dayne Kahau and Thomas Paugh; daughters Hinano Alama, Nina Asing and Kanani Marshall, 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Yoshie "Y" Kawahara, 79, of Kona, Hawaii, owner of SYK Enterprise Plumeria Farm, died Jan. 6 at home. She was also a cashier in the dining room of the former Kona Hilton Hotel. She was born in Haleiwa. She is survived by husband Shoji; daughters Iris and Gail Cantor and Ann Kawahara; brothers Morichiko, Masamitsu, Paul and Henry Yamada, and three grandsons. Moses S.C. Kim, 74, of Honolulu, a retired engineer with the U.S. Army, died last Friday. He was also a retired funeral director with Mililani Mortuary. He was born in Huelo, Maui.
