Irish Dance Company
"Spirit of the Dance" blends a variety of dance forms
with Irish traditions to tell its love story.



Irish ‘Sprit’
due in March

The Irish International Dance Company will bring its "Spirit of the Dance -- The New Millennium" to Hawaii Theatre March 13 to 18.

Based in Irish tradition, the performance also blends in flamenco, ballet, salsa and jazz dance forms. The show tells the story of a spirit who dances her way through the millennium, searching for true love.

Shows begin at 7:30 p.m. March 13 to 15, 8 p.m. March 16 and 17, 2 p.m. March 17 and 18 and 7 p.m. March 18. Tickets are $25 to $45, plus a $2 theater restoration charge. They will go on sale Tuesday at the theater box office, TicketPlus and Blaisdell Center; by phone at 528-0506 or 526-4400.

Shows are also scheduled at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center March 21 to 25. Tickets go on sale Saturday. Call (808) 242-7469.




Jim Gamble returns with his puppets to present "Peter
and the Wolf" Saturday and Sunday at Kennedy Theatre.





The Baltimore Consort performs English, Scottish, Irish and
French popular music dating from the 16th through 18th centuries.
The musicians perform at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Orvis Auditorium.
