KAPOLEI MAKES ITS MARK

Bullet Jason Leanio may be the answer to a local sports trivia question someday ... for scoring Kapolei High's first boys' varsity soccer goal, in a 4-1 loss to Waialua.

Back in the Day

TWENTY YEARS AGO THIS WEEK

Bullet Moanalua opened its OIA season with a 76-59 win over Nanakuli. Sam Johnson produced half of the Menehune's offensive output -- piling up 38 points. Nanakuli's Maury Montez finished with 25 points in a losing effort.
