in Boxing Hall of FameJoining Ichinose are three-time Olympic boxing champion Laszlo Papp of Hungary, world lightweight champion Ismael Laguna of Panama, world featherweight champion Ultiminio "Sugar" Ramos of Mexico, world light heavyweight champion Willie Pastrano and world middleweight champion Randy Turpin.
Also, trainer George Benton, record keeper and historian Ralph Citro, promoter Don Chargin, sports cartoonist Bill Gallo, sportswriter Lester Bromberg, English light heavyweight Barney Aaron, light heavyweight champion Paul Berlenbach, heavyweight champion Jim Braddock, middleweight champion Billy Papke and flyweight champion Midget Wolgast.
Public meetings on ticket prices
The University of Hawaii athletic department will hold public meetings Jan. 16 to discuss proposed ticket prices for the 2001 football season.All ticket prices will remain the same, except for the UH-Montana game on Maui. Prices for that game range from $15.50 for children and students to $28.50 for premium seats.
Individuals who would like to comment on proposed ticket prices will have a maximum of three minutes of testimony.
One meeting will be at the UH Athletic Complex in conference room 106. Another meeting will be held by the Maui Office of Economic Development on the same day at the Maui Community College Student Center Dining Room.
