Star-BulletinMoe, the younger sister of former Wahine Tui Moe, started 23 of the 36 matches she played for the Lions. In two seasons Mia scored six goals and had four assists.
Her teammates voted her rookie of the year after her freshman season at LMU.
"I missed home. The reason why I went away was if you go away, you can always come back home," Moe said.
"I went and got my experience of being away and now I'm ready to come home," she added.
"Also, my sister played for Hawaii and that's another reason."
She will finish the second semester at LMU and enroll at UH this fall.
Moe has received her release from LMU head coach Greg Murphy and the UH coaches know she is coming aboard.
Moe enjoyed her two years at LMU. The Lions were 12-6-1 this past fall and tied for second in the West Coast Conference with an all-time best 5-2-0 record.
"I liked the program and meeting new people," said Moe, who plans to major in either business or education.
Moe was a four-year letter winner in soccer at Punahou. She also played volleyball and basketball for the Buffanblu.
