Radovic out
with broken leg

Wallace says the loss
of the forward will
hurt the team's rotation

It happened in the last 10 minutes of yesterday's practice.

Freshman forward Bosko Radovic pushed off as he went up for a rebound and "his leg snapped on the way up,'' said University of Hawaii coach Riley Wallace.

"He's out for the season.''

Radovic, a 6-foot-9, 220-pound freshman forward from Yugoslavia, fractured the tibia, or shinbone, of his right leg.

He had surgery last night at The Queen's Medical Center and is expected to be released either today or tomorrow.

"It hurts us, rotation-wise,'' said Wallace, whose team takes on Georgia State tonight. "Bosco's a good, young player with potential and game knowledge.''
