He is survived by parents Robert "Bunky" and Gail; sisters Malia and Ane; half sister Helena Marie, and grandparents Fred Bakutis and Martha Killebrew. Eva J. DeMello, 83, of Kailua died Dec. 9 in Kailua. She was born in Ewa. Roberta Rae Hanaike, 66, of Kaneohe, an administrative assistant with Ringler Associates, Honolulu, Inc., died yesterday. She was born in Salem, Ore. She is survived by husband Donald; daughters Dona L., Lori A. and Jann; sons Ronn A., David D. and Benn B.; sisters Patricia Lacy and Janet Wismer, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Joseph I. Haumea, 81, of Wainiha, Kauai, a heavy equipment operator for the state, died Friday at home. He was born in Honolulu. Marilyn Sunderman, formerly of Honolulu, an artist, died Dec. 8 in Flagstaff, Ariz. She was also an author and spiritual teacher. She was born in Le Sueur, Minn.
