The couple married in Baltimore after the hotel mix-up in 1941. Two years later, they moved to Los Angeles, where they worked as a singing duet at the Chapman Hotel. After doing some guest spots on CBS radio with Mary Aster, the duo spent five years on their own show. In 1958, Art & Dotty Todd topped the charts with their record "Chanson D'Amour."
After several years of singing at the Dunes and MGM Grand Hotels in Las Vegas, the Todds retired to Honolulu in 1980, where they joined the Oahu Country Club and the Outrigger Canoe Club.
Dotty Todd died Dec. 12 after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in August. She was 87 years old. He survives her.
Todd was born in Elizabeth, N.D., to Elizabeth and Vincent Dabb. She studied piano with Rodney Saylor and at the age of 13, performed a piano recital at Carnegie Hall in New York.
Funeral services were to be held in California today at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that money be donated toward Alzheimer's research.
