THE SEARCH FOR SIGNS OF
HAWAIIAN LIFE IN THE UNIVERSE

Tapa

Czech Aloha

King Tanigawa of Aiea, his wife and sister-in-law were surprised
to spot the Aloha knick-knack shop in the tiny hamlet of Vrchlabi in
the Czech Republic, north of Prague. "We asked the store owner,
a lady, about why the Aloha name," reports Tanigawa. "She said
she spent three weeks in Hawaii in 1991 and liked it so
much she named the store Aloha."

The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life in the Universe is just that -- we're looking for evidence of Hawaiiana everywhere but Hawaii.
