David Chin, 40, of Wahiawa, a teacher in Adult Education, died Wednesday. He was born in Wahiawa. He is survived by sons Daniel K. and Jonathan K., parents Sung Kyu and Nora Y. Masako Honda Chong, 71, of Pearl City died Dec. 8. She is survived by nine grandchildren. Incorrect information appeared in an obituary Thursday.

John G. Duarte III, 52, of Hauula, a retired firefighter with the Honolulu Fire Department, died Monday in Hauula. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Susanne W.; daughters Lisa D. Estioko and Vicki D. Jones; sons Bryan J. and Samuel W.; mother Agnes; brother James; sisters Irene A. Latorre, Annette Yamamoto and Bernadette Nakamura; and seven grandchildren. Richard Farias, also known as "Fanicky" or "Dick," 73, of Wahiawa, who retired from the U.S. Army, died Dec. 6 in St. Francis-West Medical Center. He was born in Paia, Maui. Riyokichi Kuwae, 85, of Honolulu, a retired custodian for Consolidated Amusement Co., died Tuesday in Kuakini Medical Center. He also retired from Violet Grill. He was born in Waianae. Ituau Liutai "Stu" Mauga-Leilua, 52, of Laie, a restaurant hostess at Sizzler's Restaurant, died Thursday at home. She was born in Western Samoa. She is survived by husband Asola V.
