Keiki Kits at
art academy

The Honolulu Academy of Arts has gone interactive.

With the introduction of Keiki Kits, the academy offers packages that allow youngsters to approach its collections in a variety of ways.

Rather than just looking at pictures on a wall, kids with Keiki Kits enjoy stories, games objects and take-home art activities that complement the art work in specific galleries.

Kits have been prepared with three themes:

Bullet "Talk to the Animals: An Adventure in Art";

Bullet "Unroll Your Imagination: Experience Chinese Landscape Painting"; and

Bullet "Hunt for Heroes and Heroines: Hear Some Amazing Stories."

The kits may be borrowed free from the front desk. All items in the kit, except the art project, must be returned before leaving the academy. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

For academy hours and other information, call 532-8700.
