Snowing in Waikiki

By George F. Lee, Star-Bulletin
Hands raised, Tasha Jose, 9, of Waimanalo greets a "snow flurry"
(actually, soap bubbles generated by machine) at a Christmas party
last night at the Sheraton-Waikiki hotel. The Hawaii chapter of the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society sponsored it for the children of
their society, plus kids from HUGS, Shriners Hospital and the
Ronald McDonald House.

Pretty Cool

By Craig T. Kojima, Star-Bulletin
Raelynn Villaruel, right, shrieks with delight as she and Wai Yan
Lam, left, open gifts presented to them by employees of Chili's
restaurant at Kahala Mall. Some 75 Salvation Army children
were treated to a meal, gifts and a tour of the restaurant.
