Edine N. Ako, 60, of Kona, Hawaii, a self-employed sales representative for R. Baird & Co. Inc., died Nov. 29 in Kona Community Hospital. She also worked at the former Kona Inn Gift Lanai and Hale Momi Shop and was manager of the former International Gift Shop in Kailua-Kona. She was born in Kona. Evelyn F. Almeida, 99, of Honolulu died yesterday in Honolulu. She was born in Honolulu. Gordon C. Bertelmann, 76, of Kahului, Maui, a retired engineer and a Merchant Marine worker, died Dec. 5 in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was also a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army. Grace Ann Duff, infant daughter of Jonathan and Ann Duff, died Tuesday. Ernest H. Durante, 82, of Honolulu, a retired boilermaker at Pearl Harbor, died Nov. 30 at home. Leslie F. Furtado Sr., 55, of Wailuku, Maui died Tuesday in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Waimea, Kauai. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Haruo Furutani, 87, of Kapaa, Kauai, a laborer for the Lihue Plantation Sugar Co., died Wednesday at home. He was born in Lihue. He is survived by sons Dennis, Robert, Matthew and Arnold; daughter Gloria Tavorn; brothers Norio and Yoshio, six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Private services.

Yao-Lin Huang, 87, of Honolulu, a retired journalist, died Wednesday. He was born in Taiwan. He is survived by wife Chiu-Ker; son Chi-Rong "John"; daughters Sue Shufen Fujitani, Lisa Lin, Chuan-Hsiang Chen, Beatrice Leu and May Huang, and nine grandchildren. Alva K. Inouye, 64, of Kona, Hawaii, a retired employee with the building maintenance department at Kona Hospital, died Nov. 14 in Kona Community Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was born in Kona, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Agnes and daughters Sarah and Juletta. Graveside services and burial were private.

James B. Kane, 62, of Honolulu, a security guard, died Monday in Honolulu. He was born in Johnstown, Pa. He is survived by wife Take; two brothers; two sisters, and mother Mary Kane. Private services.

Fukue "Mabel" Kaneko, 89, of Aiea died Nov. 19 in Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born in Aiea. Henry Keola Jr., 83, of Waianae and formerly of McCully, a retired pressman for the Hawaii Newspaper Agency, died Sunday. He was born in Hana, Maui.
