Waimea Park
thanks neighbors

To celebrate Good Neighbor Appreciation Days, The Parks at Waimea is offering free admission to Waimea Falls Park to area residents showing a valid I.D. with Haleiwa, Waialua, Kahuku, Laie, Hauula or Kaaawa zip codes through Dec. 31.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Four themed areas offer guests a chance to do and see more. The areas are:

Bullet Village of Waimea: Historical tours of archaeological sites and displays of household artifacts, with craftmaking demonstrations.

Bullet Family Playground: A tree house, jungle maze, mountain biking and jungle trek offers of fun for kids.

Bullet Hawaiian Center: Features traditional Hawaiian games such as lawn bowling and spear throwing, with weapons demonstrations and kahiko (ancient) hula performances.

Bullet The Falls: Watch cliff divers or take in hula and Hawaiian music performances.

The park is open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. Call 638-8511 for more information.
