Loring, a former professor of art at the graduate school of the University of California, was New York bureau chief of Architectural Digest before joining Tiffany more than 20 years ago.
His paintings are in the permanent collections of many museums, including The Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art and The Art Institute of Chicago.
The book sells for $60. Tickets to the Hawaii Theatre event are $125, available by calling 791-1302.
