Pulling some strings
at City Hall

By Craig T. Kojima, Star-Bulletin
City employees are pulling strings these days,
decorating some 20 Christmas trees in and around
City Hall and getting things set up for a sparkling
roster of Honolulu City Lights ceremonies
Saturday afternoon and evening.

Roundup time

By Wayne Shinbara, Special to the Star-Bulletin
Marine Corps Reserve Lance Cpl. Gilbert Rosete helps
unload during yesterday's Toys for Tots campaign at
Ala Moana Park, kicking off the annual drive that puts
gifts in needy children's hands. New, unwrapped toys
will be collected through Dec. 22 at Longs Drug Stores,
Subway Sandwiches, NAPA dealerships and the
Hawaiian Isles Kona Coffee Co. corporate office.
