H-1 lanes, ramps
close for night work

Some H-1 closures will also
affect daytime traffic

H-1 freeway lane and ramp closures for night work from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday will include the following:

Bullet Lane, ramp and shoulder closures on Vineyard on-ramp, Lunalilo Street and Captain Cook and Magellan avenues, with eastbound traffic on Captain Cook detoured.

Bullet Lane closures for H-1 freeway joint replacement at various locations.

Bullet Lane and shoulder closures at the Ward overpass for abutment work.

Bullet Lane closures at various locations for installing highway lighting poles.

Bullet Lane, ramp and shoulder closures for seismic retrofit between Pali overpass and Kapiolani interchange.

Bullet Lane and ramp closures for barrier upgrade work at the Wilder Avenue offramp, between the Punahou Street on-ramp and Lunalilo Street offramp and along Bingham Street.

Bullet Shutdowns today include two H-1 eastbound lanes in the vicinity of the Lunalilo/Vineyard offramp.

Bullet Punahou on-ramp will be closed today and tomorrow.

H-1 and other day work will make the following closures necessary from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday:

Bullet Lane and shoulder closures at Kapiolani interchange, H-1 eastbound King Street offramp, Ward on-ramp and Piikoi on-ramp for guardrail work.

Bullet Lane, shoulder and sidewalk closures for highway lighting and traffic signal work on Lunalilo Street.

Bullet Lane and sidewalk closures for curb-ramp construction on Lunalilo and Metcalf streets.

Bullet Lane closures for waterline work on Keeaumoku and Lunalilo streets with no access to Lunalilo from Keeaumoku and possible detours on Piikoi and Lunalilo. Access for local traffic only to be provided.

Bullet Closure of Lunalilo offramp of westbound H-1 freeway for waterline work.

TEMPORARY PARKING BAN

During the Christmas season, tow-away zones will be added to the following areas:

Bullet Kakaako: Kapiolani Boulevard makai side from South Street to Atkinson Drive; Keeaumoku Street between Liona and Makaloa streets; and Kaheka Street, Ewa side from 800 Kaheka to Makaloa streets.

Bullet Pearl City: 808 to 926 Puu Kula Drive, inner curb; and Hoolaulea Street, makai side from Waimano Home Road to Hoomalu Street.

CHRISTMAS PARADES

Bullet Kaneohe: 9 a.m. Saturday from Windward Mall, along Kamehameha Highway and Kaneohe Bay Drive to Castle High School.

Bullet Downtown: 6 p.m. Saturday from the State Capitol, along Beretania, Bishop and King streets, ending at Alapai Street.

King Street between Punchbowl and Alapai streets will be closed around 6 p.m. for Honolulu City Lights opening activities.

Bullet Toys for Tots motorcade of motorcycles, 10 a.m. Sunday from Ala Moana Beach Park, along Monsarrat Avenue and Diamond Head Road to Kapiolani Community College's parking lot.
