Joseph K. Bryant III, 34, of Seattle, Wash. and Kuliouou, a former employee at the Sheraton Waikiki and Moana Surfrider, died Nov. 17 in Seattle. He was born in Honolulu. Kango Harada, 77, of Honolulu, a retired quality assurance inspector at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, died Nov. 18 at home. He was born in Wailuku, Maui. He is survived by wife Miriam M.L.; sons Melvin K., Bruce A., Hugh W. and Kent E.; brother Yoshio; sister Sumiko Mitsunaga, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services were private.

Shoichi Hirota, 58, of Honolulu, former owner of Sushi Hirota and a bus driver for Travel Plaza Transportation, died Saturday in Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Japan. Fred R. Jackson, 83, of Charlotte, N.C., an actor and singer, died Friday in North Carolina.
