Justin Faimealelei Normally a wide receiver, he played quarterback, running back and defense in Kaimuki's 20-0 state quarterfinal win over host Hilo, scoring twice and rushing for 57 yards.

Sarah Field Won the girls' ILH kayaking distance and distance series championships on the Ala Wai Canal. She won the 2,000-meter race in 10:42.53 and edged teammate Brook Perry in the distance series.

Pesefea Fiaseu, St. Louis: Led the Crusaders with 114 rushing yards on just 11 carries and scored three first-half touchdowns in a quarterfinal shutout of Castle. FOOTBALL
Aaron Francisco, Kahuku: Returned a punt 53 yards for a touchdown to give the Red Raiders an early 14-0 lead in a quarterfinal win against Waimea.
Bobby George, St. Louis: Completed 8 of 15 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown against the Knights.
Kaulana Kaluna, Kaimuki: Recorded three of the team's six quarterback sacks in win against Hilo -- causing a fumble on one of them.
Lono Manners, Waianae: Gained 103 yards on 17 carries to pace the Seariders in a tournament win over Maui.
Jesse Sablan, Waimea: Scored two second-quarter touchdowns and totaled 100 yards from scrimmage in the loss to Kahuku.
Kaleo Segovia, Castle: Finished his Knights' career with 92 yards rushing on 13 carries against St. Louis.
A.J. Smith, Kahuku: Rushed for a touchdown and caught a scoring pass in the Red Raiders' victory.
Bryan Ho , Iolani: Captured the boys' ILH sprint series. KAYAKING
Brandon Woods, Mid-Pacific: Claimed the distance (9:44.91) and distance series crowns.
Gerold Nacapuy and Roel Salanga, Waipahu: Won the OIA doubles championship, beating Roosevelt's Matthew Mitsuyuki and Gerome Gregory, 5-4. SOFT TENNIS
Jamie Murakami and Kim Chikazawa, Leilehua: Claimed the girls' doubles title with a 5-1 win over Waipahu.
Longtime Punahou statistician Alan Lau reached a statistical milestone during the recently completed state volleyball tournaments. With both the varsity boys' and girls' teams winning titles, Lau has kept stats for 100 championship teams at Punahou over the past 31 years -- with the Buffanblu claiming 45 state crowns and 55 ILH titles. St. Louis survived its toughest Prep Bowl challenge during its 13-year streak -- edging Kahuku, 27-26, in front of 29,129 fans at Aloha Stadium. Kahuku scored in the third quarter to take a 26-20 lead, and 6-foot-5, 225-pound tight end Sakalia Magalei was stopped at the goal line on a two-point attempt. Waianae won the first u Prep Bowl, 6-0, over St. Louis at Honolulu Stadium the day after Thanksgiving, when Victor Humalon connected with William Pimentel for an 11-yard score with 1:20 left in the game.
