'Vanities' opens
'Encore!' series
The Hawaii Theatre Center's "Encore!" series of productions will open in January with "Vanities," starring Heather Tom of "The Young & the Restless," Stacy Keanan from "Step by Step" and "My Two Dads," and Emily Kay from MTV's evening soap "Undressed."
Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the comedy about three small-town women coming of age in the 1960s and '70s.
"Vanities" will run 8 p.m. Jan. 19 and 20, and 2 p.m. Jan. 21. Tickets are $25, $32.50, $37.50 and $45, and will be available at the theater box office at 1130 Bethel St. There is a $5 discount on tickets for seniors, students and military.
Also going on sale tomorrow are tickets for "Get Back," presented by the London and New York casts of "Beatlemania." The production features Beatles' era vignettes, including the group's historic appearance on the "Ed Sullivan Show."
"Get Back" will be presented at 8 p.m. Feb. 23 and 24, and 2 p.m. Feb. 25. Tickets will be $20, $25, $30 and $35.
The "Encore!" series will also feature the return of the New Shanghai Circus March 9 to 11, Penn & Teller on April 20 and 21, and "It's Magic!" May 25 to 27. Details will be announced at a later date.
