After last night's quarterfinal games of the Chevron State Football Championships, a rematch of last year's inaugural final looks like a distinct possibility.

Kahuku plays Kaimuki (5:05 p.m.) and Waianae meets St. Louis (8:05 p.m.) in next Friday's semifinals at Aloha Stadium, after all four teams won their first-round games last night, as expected.

Last year, St. Louis beat Kahuku, 19-0, for the title. If the no-upset trend of this year's tournament continues, the Crusaders and Red Raiders will meet again.

St. Louis beat Waianae, 53-21, in a state quarterfinal last year. The Interscholastic League of Honolulu champions have won 17 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Kahuku already has beaten Kaimuki twice this season.

The Red Raiders romped over the Bulldogs, 60-18, in the regular season and 40-0 in the playoffs on the way to the Oahu Interscholastic Association championship.
