Gerda E. Calhau, 80, of Waipahu died last Friday. She was born in Germany. She is survived by daughters Sally Sagucio and Doris Verdadero, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Private services.

David R. DeCosta, 72, of Kailua died Tuesday in St. Francis Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Thelma; sons David Jr., Steven, Samuel and Collin; daughters LaVerne Legare and Reney and Dodi Ching; brothers Harold and Melvin; sister Barbara Long, 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Kenji Higa, 77, of Pearl City, a retired tool room mechanic for the U.S. Navy, died last Friday in KapiolaniMedical Center at Pali Momi. He was also an aircraft mechanic for the U.S. Air Force. He was born in Wainaku, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Ayako; sons Kenneth and Raymond; daughter Lori Yamase; sisters Millie Kaku and Sumiko S. Yoshimoto, and two grandchildren. Mary Jane Hunter, 82, of Honolulu died Tuesday in Honolulu. She is survived by daughter Jean Hostetler; son Thomas H.; sisters Dorothy Valdiserri and Helen Widziewiez, and two grandchildren. Private services.

Shannon K. Hussey, 29, of Honolulu died Monday in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. Mariana M. Ioane, 63, of Honolulu died Nov. 6 in Queen's Medical Center. She was born in Pago Pago, American Samoa. George S. Johnstone Jr., 52, of Hilo, a retired Vietnam veteran, died Monday in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Waianae. He is survived by wife Folola; sons Tino and Uili Pahulu; daughters Kueni and Linda Sunia; mother Lorraine; brothers Randy and Rick, and sisters Linda Johnstone and Janet Stillson. Alice C. Kumura, 57, of Kailua, a retired document processing clerk for First Hawaiian Bank, died Monday at home. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by sons Grant M. and Moris K.; daughters Candace C. and Paula K. Regnier; brothers Iwao and Andy; sisters Helen Hanashiro, Dora Kuroiwa and Mabel Kaya, and six grandchildren. Herbert H.K. Loui, 71, of Kula, Maui and formerly of Kailua, who worked for M's Coffee Tavern & Kula Sandalwoods, died last Friday. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Alberta; sons Brendan and Albert; daughters Miriam and Monica Loui, Eleanor Worth and Lorna Alden; two brothers; two sisters, and five grandchildren. Tadatsune Nagata, 91, of Hilo died Oct. 17 in Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Waiakea Uka, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Fuyuko; son Kenneth; daughters Aileen Nagata and JoAnne Nagao, and two granddaughters. Private services.

Ted T. Ota, 85, of Wahiawa, a retired construction inspector for the Board of Water Supply, died Nov. 1 at home. He was born in Puunene, Maui. He is survived by wife Patsy T.; son Darrell K.; daughters Audrey L. Howard and Linda K. Brogan, and four grandchildren. Private services.

Ronald T. Shigeta, 61, of Honolulu, a retired lieutenant commander for the U.S. Navy, died Sunday in Tripler Army Medical Center. He was born in Paaia, Maui. He is survived by sons Ronald T. II and Scott Y., and daughter Anne C. Shigeta-Koch. Private services.

Rex Jansz van Delden, 86, of Keaau, Hawaii, a retired Dutch agricultural engineer and lab director for Fred A. Stewart Inc. in California, died Saturday at home. He was born in Indonesia. He is survived by wife Enny and sisters Winnie Eykelenboom and Herty Abuys. No services.
