"Hit Trip," Country Music Television's popular weekly series, lands on Oahu in November to film an hour-long episode to air in January .

Co-hosts Alecia Davis and Jeff Ross, and country guest stars Sara Evans and Gary Allan, will be filmed at various Oahu locations. Evans will attend a luau Nov. 14; Allen goes surfing Nov. 16.

Ross and Davis travel the country in search of what's new and hook up with the biggest names in country music, film and television.

Allan, 32, was born in California and grew up surfing on the West Coast while honing his music skills at night in honky tonks. He was named "Sexiest Country Star" by People magazine this year and has just released his third album, "Smoke Rings in the Dark."

Last year, Allen portrayed rockabilly star Eddie Cochran in the CBS mini-series "Shake, Rattle and Roll: An American Love Story."

Evans' debut album, 1997's "Three Chords and the Truth," earned her an Academy of Country Music nomination for the "Top New Female Vocalist" award. She grew up on a tobacco farm and was singing by the of age 4. She moved to Nashville when she was 20, and supported herself by waitressing while she worked on her music.

Evans has sung on albums by Vince Gill and Martina McBride, and was the first country artist chosen by Coca-Cola to write and perform a commercial.

You'll have to visit the mainland to see the completed Hawaii-filmed program. The series doesn't air in Hawaii.
