Air riflery is the latest Hawaii High School Athletic Association state tournament to gain a title sponsor.The Civilian Marksmanship Program promotes firearms safety training and rifle practice for all qualified U.S. citizens with special emphasis on youth.
This year's tournament is Nov. 2 and 3 at St. Louis.

ELEVEN YEARS AGO THIS WEEK
The University High girls' volleyball team won its 77th consecutive match over a five-year span, beating Punahou, 15-3, 15-3, in the first round of the ILH playoffs. Under the guidance of coach Glennie Adams, and the hitting and blocking of Danielle Robins, the Junior Rainbows went on to win their fifth straight state title in November. The streak stretched to 92 games before it was snapped in October 1990, by Mid-Pacific.
