YWCA aids women
starting jobs

The Buck-a-Bag used-clothing sale
Friday and Saturday at the Clothes Closet
helps women who are returning
to the work force

Star-Bulletin

Women who need business clothes for job interviews and the workplace need only pay a dollar for a bagful of used clothing and accessories at the Buck-a-Bag Super Sale Friday and Saturday at the YWCA of Oahu Clothes Closet Store.

There also will be a $1 entrance fee on both days of the sale, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All proceeds will benefit the store and programs for women returning to the work force.

The sale is being held to reduce inventory and accommodate new arrivals, said Madeline Harcourt of the YWCA.

Since 1998 the store has provided clothing to women in transition from welfare, exiting prison, fleeing domestic violence or graduating from job training or substance abuse recovery programs.

The store is open to the public. For information about the sale, call Harcourt at 538-7061, ext. 223.
