Waianae rips
Roosevelt, ends
season 8-0 in Red

Star-Bulletin staff

The Waianae defense set up the offense all game -- picking off four passes and scoring on a fumble return -- as the No. 2 Seariders finished a perfect season in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Red Division by blasting the host Roosevelt Rough Riders, 38-3, last night.

Waianae -- the top seed heading into the OIA tournament -- allowed just 42 points in eight regular-season games, and posted two shutouts.

The Seariders scored touchdowns off three of their interceptions last night, and the offense gained more than 250 yards on the ground.
