The Intercultural Health Care Management Program began Monday and continues through next Friday. It is sponsored by JAIMS in Hawaii Kai and Medical Consultants Corp. of Azwell Co., Ltd., in Nagoya, Japan.
Executives, directors and physicians are participating from 18 health care organizations and hospitals in Japan.
JAIMS president Glenn Miyataki said intercultural management training "becomes increasingly vital" with the growing interest in medicine blending Eastern and Western medical practices.
"This program provides the cross-cultural opportunity for the participants and the instructors and hospitals involved to learn about each other's health care system.''
