A flowery judgment
from Mom

By Dennis Oda, Star-Bulletin
Dan Foley received a congratulatory lei yesterday from his
mother, Doris Cellarius, after he was sworn in as an associate
judge of the Intermediate Court of Appeals in the State of
Hawaii. As a civil rights attorney, Foley took on issues
involving gay couples, T-shirt vendors and prisoners'
rights. His supporters say he is one of Hawaii's top
constitutional experts.
