Star-BulletinWaianae faces Aiea Saturday. The Red Division-leading Seariders improved to 5-0 in the league with a 14-0 blanking of Leilehua last Saturday.
Castle, 5-0 in the White Division after a 42-6 rout of Radford, squares off with Campbell (4-1) on Friday at Aloha Stadium.
Kaleo Segovia, the Knights' workhorse, turned in his fourth 100-yard rushing effort of the season and scored four times in the win against the Rams.
Campbell had the week off.
Both teams play at AlohaStadium for the first time in two years.
"For the majority of the team, this is their first trip," Castle coach Nelson Maeda said. "They're really excited, but we've been trying to tell them to focus on the game and not be distracted by the stadium."
Campbell coach Tumoana Kenessey said the key for the Sabers is to stop Segovia and contain quarterback Joel Botelho.
"We made too many mistakes in our loss to McKinley (35-14 on Sept. 8). Our goal is to play hard and not make mistakes,"Kenessey said."The guys would be excited to play Castle anywhere."
St. Louis (5-0) won the first round Interscholastic League of Honolulu title with a 31-6 win over Kamehameha (4-1) on Friday. The defending state champions won despite a first-half injury to all-state linebacker Ikaika Curnan.
Pesefea Fiaseu rushed for 112 yards and two scores for the nationally ranked Crusaders. Joseph Lobendahn blocked a punt to set up one of Fiaseu's touchdowns and Enoch McKeague and Chad Adviento each picked off two passes.
The Crusaders jump straight into the second round Saturday against Iolani (3-2), which stunned Punahou (2-3) on Friday by scoring 15 points in the final 1:05 to pull out a 22-21 victory.
Waimea improved to 5-0 overall, with a 14-0 win over Kapaa. It was the fourth consecutive shutout for the Menehunes, who haven't been scored on since the fourth quarter of a preseason win against Punahou on Aug. 19.
Maui Interscholastic League leader Maui (5-0-1 overall) had a bye and Hilo (5-1), the Big Island Interscholastic Federation leader, edged Hawaii Prep 21-16.
Waianae faces an Aiea team that has lost three games by a total of six points.
Na Alii is only giving up 15 points a contest. The Seariders have done even better, allowing a conference-low 33 points in five games.
Kahuku (5-1 in the Red) drubbed Mililani, 40-2. The Red Raiders remain a half-game behind Waianae, and don't play again until Oct. 13. The Trojans are now 3-2 in the Red.
Kailua, which had a tortuous early schedule, gets the Star-Bulletin's nod for No. 10 this week. The Surfriders won their third in a row and evened their conference record at 3-3 with a come-from-behind 41-27 win at Kaimuki (3-2, Red).
Kailua reeled off 41 straight points after trailing 21-0 early. Josh Uelese ran for 212 yards and Taleki Mailau passed for two scores.
McKinley (4-1, White) pounded troubled Moanalua 42-14. Vaa Fonoti posted his third straight 130-yard rushing game and scored three times. The Menehunes played without four players who were kicked off the team for allegedly stealing items from junior varsity players.
