FULLERTON, Calif. -- The University of Hawaii women's soccer team needs to develop a workable, two-minute defensive drill for the end of matches. Another late-goal

For the second time in six days, an opponent goal in the final two minutes saddled the Wahine with a heartbreaking defeat.
"That's OK. We're on the road. We're not 100 percent manned. We squandered a few opportunities, but I'm happy with the way we played," said UH head coach Pinsoom Tenzing.
Kim Houg headed in Danielle Turnquist's free kick from the sideline with 1:24 left to play to provide the winning margin in Cal State Fullerton's 2-1 victory.
The Titans' (5-4-0) first goal came at 8:09. Deena Miller's 30-yard shot hit the net when Wahine goalkeeper Veronica Flores missed trying to fist the ball over the crossbar.
Just after intermission, Lea Wakabayashi got a long pass on the left side from Camille Kalama.
Wakabayashi dribbled around a fallen defender and chipped a shot past CSF goalkeeper Laura Janke at 47:23.
It was the senior midfielder's first career goal and it came in Wakabayashi's 39th match.
"Fullerton came out very strong. They were big and fast, but we were able to contain them except for one long shot," Tenzing said. "We could have folded, but we never gave up.
"The team is positive, has been all season. We had some setbacks injury-wise, but we have to keep our eye on October or late September."
UH (2-6-1) plays at Cal State Northridge (2-4-3) tomorrow. The Matadors defeated visiting UC Irvine, 1-0, last night.
Hawaii opens the Western Athletic Conference season Thursday at 7 p.m. against San Jose State at the Waipio Soccer Stadium.
