It's Waikiki's turn to play Aloha Festivals host. The 47th Waikiki Ho'olaule'a takes place tomorrow, opening with a carriage procession from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m. traveling on Kalakaua -- against normal traffic flow -- from Kapahulu Avenue to Lewers Street. Lei of Aloha,

When the procession clears, celebrants will be free to fill the street, enjoying the food booths and nine stages featuring live music. Entertainment will continue from 7 to 10:30 p.m.
Admission is free with a $5 Aloha Festivals ribbon, available on site and at 7-Eleven, Safeway, Blockbuster and First Hawaiian Bank locations.
Parking will be $3 from 5 p.m. to midnight at King Kalakaua Plaza, 'Ohana Waikiki Malia and 'Ohana Waikiki Surf, Waikiki Trade Center, the Nicos Building, ANA Kalakaua Building, Miramar Hotel and Island Colony Hotel.

The fun doesn't end Friday. At Aloha Tower Marketplace Sunday, more than 100 conch shell blowers will gather to try to make their way into the Guiness Book of World Records for the most conch shells blown in unison. All conch shell blowers are invited to join in.
The event will take place 10:30 a.m. at the base of Aloha Tower.
Then at 3 p.m., 60 hula halau, with 2,000 dancers will gather to celebrate the Tower's 74th anniversary by forming a "Lei of Aloha." They will dance in unison to "Aloha Week Hula," "To You, Sweetheart, Aloha," "Papalina Lahilahi" and "Aloha Tower."
