Star-BulletinPlans to bring the First Lady of rock, Tina Turner, to Hawaii for a December concert are continuing. Promoter Tom Moffatt has had Dec. 16 reserved at Aloha Stadium for the concert -- information confirmed on Turner's Web site -- but the Blaisdell Arena also is a heavy favorite for the performance, sources said.
In other to-be-announced concert news, Stone Temple Pilots, Creed and No Doubt are set to perform in Honolulu within the next two months. Tickets for these concerts are expected to go on sale in mid-October.
Stone Temple Pilots and Creed are likely to perform at Richardson Field at Pearl Harbor, while No Doubt is looking at the University of Hawai'i's Andrews Amphitheater. Ticket prices have not been disclosed.
