THE BIG GAMES
FOOTBALL:
No. 9 Farrington (1-0) visits No. 4 Waianae (1-0) in a key OIA Red matchup Friday night. Traditionally when these two met, it meant hard running and hard defense. But both teams like to throw the ball around now, too -- and they're good at it.Also, White powers No. 6 McKinley (2-0) and Campbell (2-0) tangle Friday at Ewa Beach in a matchup of the Tigers' strong passing attack led by QB Abraham Pavich against the Sabers' tough defense, which averaged a yield of 11.3 points in its three games.
VOLLEYBALL:
Upstart St. Louis hosts defending state-champion Punahou in boys' action Saturday. The OIA starts with five boys and girls matches tomorrow.
