It’s official: Lambert
on Olympic team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Former Stanford All-American Mike Lambert of Kaneohe was officially named to the 12-member U.S. men's Olympic volleyball team yesterday.

It will be Lambert's second Olympics. Team USA placed ninth at the 1996 Games in Atlanta.

Lambert helped Stanford to the 1997 NCAA title. The Punahou graduate was the U.S. national team's MVP last year.

Lloy Ball, Tom Hoff, John Hyden, Dan Landry, Chip McCaw, Ryan Millar, Jeff Nygaard, George Roumain, Erick Sullivan and Andy Witt are also on the team.
