Summer Commencement

About 400 University of Hawaii students celebrated their graduation
yesterday at the Stan Sheriff Center in Manoa. Robert G. Klein, who
this year stepped down as senior associate justice of the Hawaii
Supreme Court, advised the new graduates, among other things,
to "eat shave ice" and live a life of their own. Some 377 received
baccalaureate degrees, 262 their master's, 46 their doctorates
and 12 their post-baccalaureate certificates.
