Still insisting on white diamonds? Girlfriend, you've fallen behind. Just as color has dominated runway and street fashion, it also has sparked interest in the jewelry world.

You'll be seeing more fancy-color diamonds, particularly the pink diamond, which is the diamond du jour. After all, everybody who's anybody spent the last decade trying to outdo one another in searching out the biggest traditional rock available.

The new diamonds can be viewed at Neiman Marcus during the Alan Freidman Natural Color Diamonds Trunk Show, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Tuesday, except Sunday when hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Precious Jewelry department, First Level. For more information on jewelry events, call 951-3449.

Bullet Henry Dunay Trunk Show, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Display of Marrakech-inspired jewelry fashioned from coral, turquoise and gold. Precious Jewelry.

Saturday to Aug. 15

Bullet Tod's 2000/2001 Fall/Winter Trunk Show, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Denise Scala will show Tod's fall line of handbags in burgundy, plum and black in such luxe materials as crocodile, lizard and python. Also on view will be Tod's collection of loafers, ladylike heels and boots. In the Leather Accessories and Ladies Shoes departments, First Level, and Men's Shoe's, Third Level.

Aug. 18 to 20

Bullet Harry Winston Trunk Show. Watches fashioned from pink, yellow and blue diamonds by the famed jeweler, will be on view 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Precious Jewelry.

Bullet Carrera y Carrera Trunk Show. Latest collection by the Madrid jeweler was inspired by a 1,000-year-old tree in Japan. On view 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 18 and 19 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Precious Jewelry.

Bullet Angeles Diamond International Heart & Arrow Trunk Show. Display of loose diamonds on view 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 18 and 19 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Precious Jewelry.

Aug. 19

Bullet Hard Candy makeovers. Founder Dineh Mohajer returns for a Coffee Talk with fans of her makeup line. She'll introduce Hard Candy's new line of caffeinated lipsticks, Sonic Shine shimmer stick for face and body and her latest glitter nail polishes between 1 and 3 p.m. Complimentary makeup consultations will be available noon to 5 p.m. Make an appointment by calling 948-7581.
