Housing pioneer Slipher dies at 89

Fausto "Cardo" Butac, 74, of Waialua, a retired heavy-equipment operator from Waialua Sugar Co., died July 19 in Wahiawa General Hospital. He was born in Ilocos Norte, the Philippines.
