Jimmy Buffett relaxed in the garden of the Royal
Hawaiian Hotel during a brief visit in 1998.
Jimmy Buffett will be shouting "Fins to the left! Fins to the right! We're havin' a feeding frenzy at the Blaisdell Arena tonight" when he performs in Honolulu this fall for the first time since 1992, when he appeared with several other groups in a benefit following Hurricane Iniki.
Buffett will perform Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Blaisdell Arena. Ticket prices and the date of sale will be announced later.
Buffett's career spans some 30 years during which he's only really had two hit records: "Margaritaville" and "Come Monday." But he's also a bestselling author and restaurateur. His new video collection, "Tales From Margaritavision," released last month, immediately moved into the music video Top 10.
Buffett currently is on a major summer tour throughout the mainland.
in other concert news, sources said that pop sensation Christina Aguilera will perform at the Blaisdell Arena on Saturday, Oct. 21 in closing her U.S. and Canada tour. Opening for the 19-year-old Grammy-winner reportedly will be Destiny's Child.
Aguilera kicks off the tour Monday, visiting 38 cities in 11 weeks before wrapping up in mid -October.
